We recently closed Re-Enrollment and Sibling Enrollment for our currently enrolled families. Due to strong retention this year and the number of siblings joining us, we DO NOT have openings for the following classes: Developmental Learners (formerly Pre-4), Kindergarten, 1st Grade, 2nd Grade, 3rd Grade, 4th Grade, or 5th Grade.
If you were hoping for one of these grade levels, we unfortunately do not have open enrollment spots available for the upcoming year. I know this may be disappointing, and I want to assure you that we are actively exploring ways to meet the interest in our program while still preserving the small, home-like environment that makes OBE unique. Please rest assured though, that you may fill out the Enrollment Application and we will reach out with an application if there are any openings. You may also fill out the 2027-2028 Email List form if you are hoping for early admission access next year.
Please note that the only classes open for enrollment at this time are Discovery Learners (Pre-K 3) and 6th–9th Grades. All applications outside of these grade levels will be considered "waitlisted," and you may not hear from us if we do not have a spot available for you.
This application is designed to help us thoughtfully and intentionally select families who are the right fit for OBE. Please note that submitting this application is not a guarantee of acceptance, nor does it guarantee promotion to a shadow or screener day. We will begin reviewing applications after the start of the new year. After that, we will reach out with follow-up questions, clarifications, or next steps.
A final note: Based on the retention and re-enrollment trends we are seeing, we strongly encourage families to select the membership position they anticipate needing long-term. It is becoming increasingly difficult to move from Part-Time to Full-Time as students progress. Our best recommendation: secure your position early and in the format you expect to need for the foreseeable future.
Welcome to Olive Branch Education, where our mission is to provide an enriching and engaging educational experience rooted in Christian values. Our acceptance policy is carefully designed to ensure that applicants are well-suited to both benefit from and contribute to our faith-based learning community. Eligibility Criteria To be considered for acceptance, applicants must meet the following criteria:
Our program is open to children from age 4 up to 8th grade, ready to start the academic year with a heart open to learning. For those joining us for 8th grade, please know that our plan is to expand and grow with them.
We reserve the right to pull academic and behavioral records from any previously schools or tutorials to aid our decision making.
A successful shadow day with the student is required to assess the student’s readiness and suitability for our program. This is a time for us to discern together if Olive Branch Education is the right place for your child’s growth, both academically and spiritually.
A grade level screener for their current grade level will be completed at the time of the shadow day will help us understand your child’s academic needs and strengths.
We look for students who demonstrate a Christ-like character, curiosity, and a willingness to engage in a farm-based learning environment, as demonstrated through the interview and a possible trial day.
Applicants will be notified of their acceptance status via email within 1 week of the Shadow Date. Upon acceptance, your resource fee is due immediately to secure your spot at Olive Branch Education.
Should the number of qualified applicants exceed available spots, a waitlist will be established. Waitlisted applicants will be notified if a spot becomes available, trusting in God’s timing for their potential inclusion in our program. We will only waitlist students who have passed the shadow day and completed all other steps in the application process. This list will be established once enrollment for the current year is final. The "waitlist" will start after enrollment ends for year 26-27. We do not have an already formed "waitlist"- we previously called it a "waitlist" but decided to re-name it to what it actually is & that is an "Email list" for early bird shout out to application forms. Starting after 26-27 enrollment is complete you will only be added to our "waitlist" if you did your shadow day + all other steps and were "accepted to wait" due to no availability. We foresee very few spots available next year but will accept limited shadow student days in the event that we are not a good fit for an accepted student and a spot were to open mid-year. If you have additional questions, you may fill out the pop-up contact form on our website.
